when things go down, send your prayers up

Forces outside of our control are responsible for many of the experiences we have in life, especially the experiences that leave us bewildered, confused, and yearning for clarity.

The only thing we can control or change is ourselves.

When we give it up to God, we don’t give up. We surrender to the fact that we are not in control. We can’t change the world around us — we can only change how we interact with it.

When things start to go down, that’s when we send our prayers up.
