The Sunday Scroll: Focus
Be radically focused in a world that tries to steal your attention.
It is so hard to keep our focus when there are so many different things we can do. It’s hard to stay committed to one thing when there are endless options. But, we can’t grow something without our full commitment and commitment requires focus.
Our darker side wants us to see that the grass is always greener somewhere else, but that’s not the truth. The grass is the greenest where we water it.
When we try to focus on too many things at once, none of them grow at the pace we want. So often we want things to happen fast to fulfill that immediate gratification, and we want everything to come towards us all at once. We aren’t really built for that. Those who appear to be an overnight success spent years creating the space to hold everything that has come towards them. They maintained their focus on the right thing.
Displacing our energy into multiple projects, tasks, relationships, or jobs is not going to help us grow faster. It is going to delay our overall manifestation of abundance.
Where our attention goes, energy flows. If our attention is on 5 different things, then our energy flows to 5 different things. If our attention is on one thing, then all of our effort goes towards it manifesting to its fullest potential.
Be so focused that you can’t help but create blessings.
